Amanda Kates, Ph.D., is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in mathematics curriculum development and professional learning. As the Professional Learning Development Director at Imagine Learning since June 2022, Amanda has previously held roles as Professional Learning Manager and Senior Curriculum Specialist. Prior experience includes serving as a Curriculum Specialist in Mathematics at Age of Learning, Inc. from September 2020 to June 2022, and as an Adjunct Instructor at North Carolina State University from 2018 to 2020. Amanda's foundational experience in education includes positions as Mathematics Curriculum Specialist and 5th Grade Teacher in Johnston County Public Schools from 2008 to 2016, as well as a Preschool Teacher for Head Start, Oswego State University, and the Department of Defense from 1996 to 2008.
