Lydia Ely

Lydia Ely is an experienced photo editor and multimedia journalist with a diverse background in sports and visual storytelling. Currently serving as a Photo Editor for both USA TODAY Sports Images and Getty Images, Lydia specializes in the rapid selection and editing of images for immediate distribution during live events. In addition to freelance photography work focused on editorial and commercial assignments in the Pacific Northwest, Lydia has also provided extensive coverage of the Seattle Storm as a Staff Photographer for The Next. Previous roles include multimedia journalism and photo editing at various organizations, where Lydia demonstrated strong skills in project management, creative direction, and collaboration with clients and photographers. Lydia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication from the University of Washington.
