Dave Oakleaf has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Dave started their career as a Programmer/Analyst at Repository Technologies in 1995, where they contributed to the development of an enterprise CRM product. Dave then joined Business Logic Corp. in 2000 as a Team Lead, leading the development of external web applications for large financial institutions. In 2002, they moved to GlobalView Software, Inc. as a Senior Developer, where they developed financial and trading tools with real-time market data and analysis capabilities.

In 2006, Dave joined Interwoven (formerly iManage) as a Senior Staff Engineer, where they played a key role in the development and support of a sophisticated document management system. Dave managed complex problem resolution and led multiple teams.

From 2010 to 2011, Dave worked as the VP of Systems Development at TruMarx Data Partners, where they designed and oversaw the development of a web-based platform for commodities trading.

In 2011, Dave joined HP Software as an Engineering Manager, where they managed engineering teams and contributed to the development of software products until 2015.

Since 2015, Dave has been working at iManage, initially as a Principal Engineer in R&D, where they worked on the clean-sheet design of a SaaS document management system at a large scale. Dave evaluated technologies and built proof-of-concepts for internal demos and selling. In 2018, they became an Engineering Manager, responsible for building, testing, deploying, and documenting the next generation SaaS cloud back-end. Dave established CI/CD processes and worked closely with sales and support. Eventually, in 2021, they were promoted to the role of Director of Engineering, where they lead engineering teams in building a great user experience for iManage's cloud products and platforms, with a focus on back-end services running in Azure Kubernetes Service.

Throughout their career, Dave has demonstrated expertise in software development, team leadership, and technology evaluation.

Dave Oakleaf attended Northeastern Illinois University from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Following this, they pursued further education at Northwestern University from 2005 to 2007, earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
