Lyman Hurd

Lyman Hurd has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Lyman is currently working at iManage as a Sr. Principal Software Engineer. Previously, they worked at Quantcast as a Staff Software Engineer, where they were responsible for supporting Quantcast's real-time bidding infrastructure. Prior to that, Lyman had a long tenure at YouTube, where they held various roles such as Trust & Safety - TL YouTube Admin Platform, Video Infrastructure - Transcoder Team Senior IC, Emerging Markets - Senior Software Engineer, and Partner Payments (Revster) - TL Payments & Reports Team. Before their time at YouTube, they worked at Capax Global as a Practice Manager and Autonomy as a MediaBin - Sr. Principal Engineer and Chief Server Architect. Lyman also worked at Interwoven as a Sr. Principal Engineer and at MediaBin, Inc. as a Principal Engineer - Architect. Their early career includes roles as a Sr. Principal Scientist at Iterated Systems, Inc. and a post-doc position at the University of Maryland. Throughout their career, Lyman has gained extensive experience in software engineering, machine learning infrastructure, trust and safety, video infrastructure, and emerging markets.

Lyman Hurd completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1979 to 1983. Lyman then pursued further education at Princeton University, where they obtained a PhD in Mathematics. In addition to their formal education, Lyman has also obtained several certifications in various fields. Some of their certifications include Apache Druid Metrics from Imply, Apache Druid: A Hands-on Course from Udemy, Azure Data Explorer In-A-Day from Microsoft, and Spring Data Repositories and Spring Framework Specialization from Coursera.
