Melina E.

Melina E. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Melina started their career in 2015 as a Youth Employment Assistant at the City of Burbank, where they handled the recruitment process for youth workers and performed clerical tasks. In 2018, they volunteered at PicsArt Inc., where they coordinated with project managers and developers, attended specialized trainings, and developed personal Android applications. Melina then worked as a Sales Specialist at BREITLING, presenting watch collections, increasing returning customer sales, and troubleshooting software issues. In 2020, Melina worked as an Android Developer at Mobile Teacher LLC, where they met development milestones, patched bugs, and collaborated on documentation. Melina later joined USC Information Technology Services as a Research Work Student, where they researched threats and vulnerabilities, onboarded assets into scanning software, and communicated remediation procedures. Melina also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Southern California, evaluating lab reports and hosting one-on-one meetings with students. Currently, they are an Application Security Engineer at iManage.

Melina E. began their education at Anderson W. Clark Magnet High School in 2012 and graduated in 2014 with a high school degree. From 2014 to 2016, they attended Burbank High School. After completing high school, Melina enrolled at Glendale Community College from 2016 to 2018, where they studied computer science. In 2019, they transferred to the University of Southern California and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2021. Following their undergraduate studies, Melina continued their education at the University of Southern California, specializing in Cybersecurity Engineering, and obtained a Master of Science degree, which they will complete in 2024. In terms of additional certifications, Melina obtained the following: eJPT from INE in June 2023, Cyber Threat Intelligence from Coursera in May 2022, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, and Forensics from Coursera in January 2022, and Cybersecurity Compliance Framework & System Administration, Cybersecurity IT Fundamentals Specialization, and Network Security & Database Vulnerabilities certifications from Coursera in January 2021.
