Nikki Orvis has had a diverse range of work experiences over the years. Nikki is currently employed at iManage as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where they are responsible for performing detailed testing, writing test cases, and ensuring requirements are met. Prior to this, Nikki worked at Fragomen, where they held various roles including Co-Team Lead, Manager of Process Standards and Practices, Manager of Best Practices Resources, and Senior Immigration Paralegal. In these positions, they gained experience in project management, business process improvement, and immigration law. Before joining Fragomen, Nikki worked as an Immigration Paralegal at the Law Office of Robert Perkins and the Law Office of Barbara Hines. Throughout their career, Nikki has consistently demonstrated their expertise in drafting petitions, applications, and support letters, as well as maintaining strong communication skills with clients.
Nikki Orvis obtained a Certificate in Legal Assistant/Paralegal from The University of Texas at Austin - Center for Professional Education (CPE) in 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating between 1984 and 1988. In addition to their formal education, Nikki Orvis has obtained various certifications, including Adult Mental Health First Aid from the NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH in June 2021, and several Software Testing Foundations certifications from LinkedIn in 2021. Nikki also acquired certifications in Agile Testing and Improve Your Problem-Solving Skills from LinkedIn in May 2021 and January 2019, respectively. Finally, Nikki Orvis obtained a Lean Fundamentals certification from SixSigma.us in December 2014.
