Phil Johnson

Phil Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Phil is currently the VP of Engineering at iManage, where they lead a large team of engineers, managers, and leads in delivering services to customers. Prior to this, Phil worked at CME Group where they held various roles including Senior Director of Software Engineering, Director of Software Engineering, and Manager of Software Engineering. At CME Group, they managed a development team working on the OTC IRS risk management application. Before CME Group, Phil worked at ICAP as a Java Developer, where they worked on a market surveillance project. Earlier in their career, they held roles at JHC Systems Limited as a Java Development Team Leader and Front Office Development Team Leader. Phil also worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer and Analyst Programmer. Phil's earlier experiences include serving in the British Army as a JNCO for The Royal Corps of Signals (Reservist), and working as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Precia Molen and as a Software Developer at Pixoft Diagnostic Imaging.

Phil Johnson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computing & Electronics from Birmingham City University, which they attended from 1998 to 2001. Phil then pursued a Master's Degree in Software Technology from the same university, completing it in 2002. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, in June 2008. Phil also attained the Investment Operations Certificate (formerly IAQ) from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in November 2006. In addition, they became a Certified ScrumMaster through the Scrum Alliance in November 2013.
