Yovan Escobar has a diverse work experience in the field of site reliability engineering and application development.
Yovan currently works at iManage as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, a position they started in January 2022.
Prior to that, Yovan worked at ICF Next from January 2017 to January 2022 as a Team Lead and Site Reliability Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining customer SLA's, incident response, scripting and automating infrastructure and CD/CI, Linux configuration management, maintaining quality infrastructure code, verifying monitoring/alerting and SOP's functionality, and learning new tools for various cloud platforms.
Yovan's earliest work experience was at AT&T Services, Inc., where they worked from June 2010 to December 2016 as a Specialist Applications Developer. In this role, they were responsible for provisioning business orders on a distributed system and service oriented architecture using J2EE and a Tomcat server. Yovan also led the design, development, testing, and deployment of various projects and project releases, transforming business requirements into design documents and developing SOAP/REST web services.
Yovan Escobar obtained a Master's degree in Information System from DePaul University, where they enrolled from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they attended DeVry University from 2005 to 2008 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information System. In terms of additional certifications, Yovan became an AWS Certified Developer - Associate through Amazon Web Services in December 2020, and they also acquired the Basic Chef Fluency certification from Chef Software in February 2019.
