Dave Martindale

Dave Martindale is a Senior Image Scientist at IMAX, specializing in advanced imaging technologies. They previously held roles as Director of Algorithm Development and Advanced Imaging Specialist at IMAX from 2012 to 2013. Prior to this, Dave worked as a Senior Programmer at Radical Entertainment from 2003 to 2012 and as a Computer Imaging Specialist with the National Film Board of Canada from 1985 to 1989. They earned their PhD in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, where they were also a researcher from 1994 to 2002, and hold both a B.Math and an M.Math in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, completing their studies in 1979 and 1984, respectively. Earlier in their career, they served as a UNIX system administrator at the University of Waterloo in 1981-1982.
