John Shatka

John Shatka has a strong background in tax and treasury roles, with experience at various companies. John most recently served as the SVP of Tax & Treasury at IMAX from December 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Global Tax at Dapper Labs in 2022. John worked as a Tax Consultant at their own company John Shatka from 2020 to 2021. Before that, they held roles as VP of Global Tax at Finastra from 2017 to 2020, VP of Global Tax & Treasurer at D+H from 2009 to 2017, and Head of Tax & Treasurer at ATI Technologies Inc. from 1998 to 2008.

John Shatka has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from the University of Toronto - New College. John is also a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant certified by CPA Ontario. Additionally, they have completed the In-Depth Taxation Course - Levels I, II, and III offered by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
