John Turner

John Turner is an experienced documentary producer and executive with extensive expertise in developing and producing impactful content. Currently serving as SVP and Head of Documentaries at IMAX since September 2021, Turner previously worked as a Documentary Development Consultant at Netflix, where the focus was on devising strategies and collaborating with talent to create original films. Notable achievements include serving as Executive Producer of a five-film anthology on immigration for Concordia Studio, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and earned an Oscar nomination. Turner also created the acclaimed series "Dirty Money" for Netflix, directed the development of series for VICELAND, and founded Parkdale Pictures Media, showcasing a strong history of leadership in the documentary field and titles produced for prestigious networks.
