Chuck Hatt

Chuck Hatt has a diverse work experience in various research positions. Chuck started working at Imbio in 2015 and held multiple roles, including Research Director and Senior Scientist, and CT Development Scientist. At Imbio, they worked on lung density analysis for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and developed algorithms for lung and airway segmentation. Chuck also worked on big data processing for large COPD studies. In 2018, Chuck became an Adjunct Research Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School. Prior to that, they interned at Philips Research North America in 2012 and worked as a Research Engineer at Michigan Tech Research Institute from 2003 to 2009.

Chuck Hatt has a strong educational background in engineering and biomedical fields. Chuck started their academic journey in 2000 at the University of Michigan, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science - BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Chuck completed their undergraduate degree in 2004.

Following their undergraduate studies, Chuck continued at the University of Michigan for a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Biomedical Engineering, completing it in 2005.

Chuck's academic pursuits further took him to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 2009 to 2015.
