Julien Marechal

Julien Marechal has a diverse work experience with various roles as a software engineer and developer. Julien has worked as a Software Engineer - Team Lead at IMC Trading since October 2019, and prior to that, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack on a freelance basis.

Before IMC Trading, Julien worked as a Lead Software Engineer & DevOps on a freelance basis at Sanoma, where they led the development and architecture for the GDPR project. Julien also worked as a Senior Software Engineer & DevOps at Sanoma.

In addition, Julien founded and served as the CEO and Architect at RentFirst, a company they started in 2017. Julien also worked as a Python Developer at AMC Networks and as a Python Developer on a freelance basis at Pine Digital Security.

Julien gained experience in systems engineering at IMC Financial Markets & Asset Management, where they worked on quantitative indicator funds and in-house software development.

Earlier in their career, Julien worked at Whaller as a Developer, utilizing Python and web technologies, and as a Full-stack Developer on a freelance basis. Julien also worked as a Full-stack Developer at Concept Architecture and as a Web Developer during an internship at BNDE (Bureau National des Etudiants).

Julien Marechal completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at EPITECH - European Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2012. Julien then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Roskilde University from 2012 to 2013. Afterward, they returned to EPITECH - European Institute of Technology to pursue another Master's Degree in Computer Science from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Julien Marechal obtained the certification "Puppet fundamentals" from Puppet Labs, Inc. in October 2015.
