Simon Schmidt

Simon Schmidt is a Software Engineering Manager at IMC Trading since June 2022, after progressing from Software Engineer and Junior Software Engineer roles. Prior to this, Simon held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at Heidelberg University from April 2019 to October 2020, where a new method was developed to accelerate the solution of specific partial differential equations and implemented in finite element libraries using C++ and Python. Simon also served as a Teaching Assistant at Heidelberg University, responsible for correcting exercises and presenting course material. Simon has an academic background in Mathematics, holding a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from Heidelberg University, completed in 2022 and 2019, respectively.
