Ben Laffrey

Ben Laffrey is currently serving as the Financial Controller at IMDEX, a position held since August 2025, focusing on Group Reporting, Treasury, and Financial Processes. Prior to this role, Ben worked at Fortescue Future Industries from September 2022 to August 2025, where responsibilities included Head of Finance Transformation and Business Partners and Strategic and Financial Planning Manager. Ben's extensive experience at Woodside Energy spanned over a decade from February 2011 to August 2022, involving various leadership roles in finance, including Scarborough Business Unit Finance Lead and Executive Adviser to the CFO. Earlier career experiences include roles as an Auditor at BDO and Personal Banker at ANZ. Ben holds a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia, along with being Year 12 Head Boy at Mount Lawley Senior High School in 2007.
