Bert Heylen

Bert Heylen is an experienced ICT architect currently serving as an ICT Network Architect at imec since 2025. Previously, Bert held various positions, including Senior Network Engineer at Worldline Global, where they managed key projects related to internet backbone and anti-DDoS technologies. At The Coca-Cola Company, Bert focused on the design and optimization of a global enterprise network spanning over 200 locations, leading initiatives related to WAN redundancy and security. With a solid background in network engineering and operations, Bert has also contributed significantly to cloud connectivity projects and network monitoring solutions. Bert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Systems from Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen.
