Gian Lorusso is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in scientific research and development. From October 1998 to December 2005, Gian held the position of Senior Staff Research Scientist at KLA-Tencor, leading joint development projects and designing critical dimension scanning electron microscopes and charge control systems for electron beam systems. Prior to KLA-Tencor, Gian was a researcher at the Advanced Light Source at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, contributing to the development of the EUV scanning microscope in collaboration with Franco Cerrina. Earlier experience includes research roles at EPFL, focusing on EUV microscopy and material science, and serving as a postdoctoral fellow at Università degli Studi di Bari. Since January 2006, Gian has been a Principal Scientist at IMEC. Gian holds a PhD in Physics from Università degli Studi di Bari and an Engineering Management Certificate from Caltech.
