Johan Swerts

Johan Swerts is currently a Director at imec, where they oversee complex research programs in emerging memory technologies and superconducting quantum computing. They previously held various roles at imec, including Principal Member of Technical Staff and Head of Department, leading initiatives in thin film and materials development. With a background as a Senior Researcher focused on ALD and MRAM stack development, Swerts has contributed significantly to advanced logic and memory applications. Previously, they were a Senior Process Application Development Engineer at ASM, concentrating on atomic layer deposition for CMOS technologies. Johan is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics at KU Leuven.
