Michael Windig

Michael Windig is currently the Engineering and ACDA Program Director at imec, where they focus on automotive chiplets and reference platforms. They accumulated nine years of experience in automotive hardware engineering prior to 2011, specializing in digital and wireless technology applications for major carmakers. From 2011 to 2025, Michael held various roles at Intel Corporation, including Hardware Project Leader and Platform Architect, contributing significantly to autonomous driving projects. Michael also gained early experience as a student apprentice at Gundermannn Videowall GmbH and Agilent Technologies. They hold a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Communications Engineering from Fachhochschule Mannheim.
