Niels Posthuma is an R&D manager and group manager of the GaN Power Technology group at imec, specializing in p-GaN gate HEMT technology. Currently leading the GaN process integration team, Niels previously held various roles at imec focused on solar cell technology, including high-efficiency silicon and germanium solar cells. Niels holds a Doctorate in solar cells from KU Leuven and a master's degree in micro-electronics from the University of Twente. Niels began their career with an internship at Philips Semiconductors in software development.
