Peter De Heyn is a Silicon Photonics Platform Device Expert and Strategy at imec, where they have worked since January 2014 as an R&D Engineer and later as an R&D Team Leader. Peter earned a Master's degree in photonics engineering from Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2009, followed by a PhD in the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University and imec in 2014. Prior to their role at imec, Peter served as a doctoral researcher at Ghent University - INTEC from 2009 to 2013 and completed a guest researcher position at Fraunhofer HHI in 2011.
