Roger Loo

Roger Loo is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at imec, where they lead and coordinate the epitaxial growth strategy for semiconductor applications. They received a master’s degree in experimental physics in 1993 and a PhD in 1997 from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Roger worked as a research assistant at Forschungszentrum Jülich from 1993 to 1996 and later joined imec in 1997, progressing through various roles including Postdoctoral Fellow and Operational Manager. In addition to holding over 85 patent applications, they have co-authored more than 240 papers and served as co-editor for multiple special journal issues. Currently, Roger is also a Visiting Professor at Ghent University.
