Simon Delaere

Simon Delaere is currently a Research Valorisation Manager at imec-SMIT, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where they assist in strategy definition and implementation. With extensive experience as a senior researcher and project lead at imec, they specialize in policy analysis and business modeling in the media and telecommunications sectors. Delaere has chaired the Sectorraad Media since 2013 and has a solid educational background, including an MA in Communication Policy from the University of Westminster and an MA in Communication Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Their prior experience includes research roles at IBBT-SMIT and an internship with the European Commission's DG Information Society.
