Steven Thijs

Steven Thijs has a diverse work experience in the field of research and engineering. Steven started their career with imec in 2001 as an ESD researcher and later joined SOFICS as an ESD design specialist in 2005. Steven then returned to imec in 2006 and held various positions, including Senior ESD researcher, PhD Researcher, R&D project leader, Senior R&D Engineer Image Sensors, Team Leader Imager Test Analysis and Automation, and Team Leader at Integrated Imaging group. In 2020, they became a Principal Member Of Technical Staff at imec, and in 2022, they assumed the role of Field Application Engineering team lead at imec Solutions dept. Steven has gained a wealth of experience and expertise throughout their career, spanning over two decades.

Steven Thijs received their high school diploma in Wiskunde Wetenschappen from Sint-Theresia College (STK-Kapelle op-den Bos) from 1990 to 1996. Steven then pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering at KU Leuven from 1996 to 2001. Later, from 2006 to 2009, they completed a PhD in ESD Protection for Multiple Gate Field Effect Devices and for RFCMOS Circuits at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
