John Long is a seasoned professional in the mining and geology sectors, currently serving as the NA Director of Mine & Resource Planning at Imerys since January 2015. Prior to this role, John held various positions at Lafarge, including US Mining & Geology Manager and East US Mining & Geology Manager, as well as Senior Mining Engineer. Experience also includes a tenure as Mine Manager at J.M. Huber Corporation and Staff Engineer at Shield Engineering. John began the career as a Staff Geologist at Terraquest Environmental. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering (Geotech) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and dual Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Geology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
