Shumin Wang has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They started their career as a French Teacher and Head of the French Department at Wuhan Automobile Industry University from July 1991 to August 1994. Subsequently, they worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte from January 1998 to December 2000. From 2001 to 2006, Shumin Wang worked at Rexel as an Internal Audit / Corporate Controller. They then joined Imerys in 2006 as the Financial Controller for Asia Pacific until July 2011. From August 2011 to February 2015, they held the position of Financial Controller for Talc Europe. Following that, Shumin Wang became the Performance Additives for Metallurgy Division Financial Controller at Imerys from March 2015 to November 2018. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President Finance & Control at Imerys, starting in November 2018.
Shumin Wang has a Bachelor's degree in French Literature from Wuhan University, which was obtained from 1987 to 1991. Later, from 1994 to 1995, Shumin received a Management Aptitude Certificate in Business Administration and Management from the University of International Business and Economics. This was followed by a Master's degree in Management with a specialization in Finance from SKEMA Business School, completed from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, Shumin obtained a Master's degree in International Finance from Westminster University in London in 1997. Lastly, in 2013 to 2014, Shumin completed a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD.
