Simphiwe Bhengu

Simphiwe Bhengu is a seasoned professional in the field of metallurgy and production management with extensive experience across various companies in the mining and processing sectors. Currently serving as Production Manager at Imerys since November 2021, responsibilities include overseeing Crushing, DMS, Magnetic Separation, Laboratory, and Despatch operations. Prior to this role, Simphiwe worked as Consulting Process Manager at HAMC Zimbabwe, focusing on the optimization of Tantalite production and designing recovery circuits. Previous positions include Production Superintendent at Nkomati Mine, Senior Metallurgist at Kenmare Moma Processing, and roles at RBM, Anglo Platinum, and Foskor, among others. Simphiwe holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Mangosuthu Technikon and completed a Management Development Programme at the University of South Africa, encompassing Financial Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, and Business Economics.
