Kate Scanlan

Kate Scanlan is a prominent figure in the dance and events industries, currently serving as Co Creative Director and CEO of East London Dance, leading initiatives such as the Talent House project in partnership with UD Music. With extensive experience dating back to 2013 as Director of Scanner's Inc, Kate produces large-scale dance events aimed at engaging the public and youth. Kate's leadership in MOVE IT, the UK’s biggest dance event, highlights strategic growth and creativity. Previous roles include Artistic Associate at Fairfield Halls, Co-Choreographer for EcoWorld London, and Senior Events Manager at Battersea Power Station. Kate's commitment to community engagement and artistic innovation is evident throughout a diverse career that includes involvement in charitable projects like Les Enfants de Dieu and various educational pursuits, including a BA (Hons) in Dance in Society from the University of Surrey.
