Tom Wheeler has extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management. Tom has held various leadership positions throughout their career, starting as a Material Analyst in Corporate Procurement at Emerson Electric Co. in 2001. From there, they progressed to roles such as Cross Division Commodity Manager and Manager of Strategic Sourcing in Corporate Procurement.

In 2005, Tom became the Manager of Procurement for the Appliance Motor Division and Hermetic Motor Division at Emerson Motor Company, where they managed a matrix organization of commodity managers and successfully hedged copper and aluminum at significantly reduced prices. Tom later became the Director of Procurement at Emerson Motor Company, overseeing a global procurement organization with annual spend responsibilities of $865M.

In 2007, Tom was promoted to Director of Supply Chain for the Commercial Industrial Motors division at Emerson Electric Co., where they led a global team and implemented strategic sourcing plans that resulted in substantial savings. Tom also right-sized the supply chain organization during an economic downturn.

Tom joined Nidec Motor Corporation in 2010 as Vice President of Supply Chain for the Commercial Industrial Motors division, which was acquired from Emerson Electric Co. Tom played a key role in the sale of the division to Nidec, and subsequently held positions as Vice President of Procurement and Vice President of Strategic Procurement and Business Development.

In 2016, Tom joined Electrical Components International as Vice President of Global Purchasing, responsible for leading various teams and achieving significant cost reduction. Tom exceeded material cost reduction plans and led purchasing due diligence and synergy implementation for acquisitions.

Most recently, in 2020, Tom joined IMMI as Vice President of Global Procurement.

Tom Wheeler attended Parkway West High School from 1988 to 1992. Tom then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management with a Minor in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University Daniels School of Business from 1992 to 1996. Later, they earned an MBA in Strategy and Operations from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School between 1999 and 2001.
