David Brocks

David Brocks has extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and cancer research. David currently holds the position of Associate Director of Computational Biology at Immunai, having previously been a Team Lead and Senior Computational Biologist at the same company. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science, where they specialized in single-cell genomics and CRISPRi of transposable elements. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and a PhD Student at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center, focusing on tumor heterogeneity and evolution. David also gained experience as an Inhouse Consulting Intern at Merck Group and as a Visiting PhD Student at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Additionally, they worked as a Research Intern at Miltenyi Biotec. Overall, David Brocks has a strong background in computational biology and cancer research, with expertise in single-cell genomics and tumor analysis.

David Brocks earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Heidelberg University between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Oncology and Cancer Biology at Heidelberg University from 2010 to 2012. David'sundergraduate studies in Human Biology were pursued at Radboud University from 2007 to 2010, culminating in a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree. David also obtained additional certifications, including Machine Learning from Coursera in December 2016, European Business Competence Licence A in November 2014, and FELASA B from the German Cancer Research Center (dkfz) in 2012.
