Yu Lao

Yu (Yolanda) Lao is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in consulting and executive roles within investment and operational management. Currently a Consultant at IMO Ventures since January 2018, Yu focuses on case analysis and frontier technology research. Previously held the position of Vice President, specializing in AI technology, blockchain, Web3, and FinTech investments. As Chief Operating Officer at Chord Technologies since January 2021, Yu develops business strategies and oversees company operations. Earlier roles include Co-Founder and COO of Wegenart, where Yu managed overall operations, and Marketing Consultant at Holokit, emphasizing business development and marketing strategies. Yu’s background also includes internship experience at Boston Ballet and academic research at Peking University Center for Visual Studies. Yu holds a BA in Communication and Media Studies from Peking University and a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Boston University.
