Michael Hoffmann

Michael Hoffmann has extensive experience in the banking and finance sectors, currently serving as the Supervisory Board Director and Chair of the Risk Committee at MDO “IMON INTERNATIONAL” since July 2021. Previously, Michael was the Founder and Chair of the FEM Initiative for Frontier and Emerging Market Impact Investing at Bundesinitiative Impact Investing from March 2021 to April 2023. Michael held the position of CEO at AccessBank Azerbaijan from May 2012 to April 2017, managing a leading commercial bank with significant assets and a focus on micro businesses and SMEs. Additional roles include Board Member at AHK Azerbaijan, Member of the Supervisory Board at GM-AVTOVAZ, and Head of the Volga Federal District Office at EBRD. Michael's early career included a structured finance role at HSH Nordbank, complemented by educational credentials that include an Executive MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Diplom-Volkswirt in Economics from Kiel University.
