Amit Halawa

Amit Halawa has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amit started their career in 1998 as a Team Leader and Chief Software Developer at IDF, Intelligence Corps where they were responsible for the development and operation of a distributed Geographical Information System. During their time there, they received recognition for their contribution and excellence.

In 2000, Amit joined SMARTEAM as part of the Research & Development team. SMARTEAM is a company that provides collaborative offerings for product development processes. Amit remained with the company until 2008.

Following their time at SMARTEAM, Amit joined Yedda in 2008 as part of the Research & Development team. Yedda is an online question and answer service. In 2011, they became the VP R&D at AOL Answers, a question and answer service owned by AOL. However, the platform closed before the summer of 2015.

In 2011, Amit also co-founded a company called imonomy, an in-image advertising solution that helps publishers generate revenue from their images. Amit played a crucial role in developing their innovative solution to deliver contextually relevant ads.

More recently, in 2018, Amit became a shareholder at Albatross Media. Overall, Amit has demonstrated expertise in research and development, software development, and leadership roles throughout their career.

Amit Halawa began their education at the IDF from 1998 to 2001, during which it is unclear whether they pursued any specific degree or field of study. From 2003 to 2005, they attended Tel Aviv University where they obtained a degree in sociology.
