Walid joined the BBDO Group in 2007 to set up a BBDO operation in Algeria, where he spent the next 5 years, before going on to take over the BBDO operations in KSA (Riyadh & Jeddah) as Group Managing Director in 2011.
Previously, Walid had his own agency in Lebanon for a period of 8 years. In his early career, he had a three-year stint at BBDO and other multinational networks where he held various management positions.
Walid’s core competence is geared towards building strong, creative and collaborative agencies, deeply integrated within the BBDO regional/global network. His expertise ranges from setting up and managing agencies within the Middle East and North Africa, strategic planning, brand management, channel planning (digital and content) across a wide array of categories spanning from FMCG to banking & finance, government, telco, retail, automotive, and services just to name a few.
Walid holds an Executive MBA in management from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) and a Marketing BA from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
