Impact Institute is the independent assessment authority for social impact governance.

Every material claim made by a listed company is independently evidenced - except one. Financial statements are audited. Carbon emissions are verified. B-BBEE ratings are certified. Social impact governance remains largely self-reported narrative.

That is the gap Impact Institute was built to close.

We administer two independent assessments against the Social Impact Footprint Standard™ - a proprietary, peer-reviewed assessment standard covering 9 pillars, 30 domains, and 174 evidence-based indicators, aligned with King V, GRI, ISSB S1, ISO 26000, the International <IR> Framework, and the UN SDGs.

The Social Impact Organisational Capability Assessment independently determines whether an organisation's internal systems are structurally capable of producing the social value they claim - consistently and verifiably. It produces a Social Impact Footprint Factor™, a five-level Maturity Classification, and where the assessment determines it, an Impactful Organization™ designation at Bronze, Silver, or Gold level.

The Social Impact Governance Outcomes Assessment independently determines whether the governance of social impact produces verifiable outcomes against all 13 King V principles - giving the board's concluding statement the independently assessed evidentiary foundation it requires.

We do not advise. We do not consult. We evaluate what organisations submit against the Standard and independently determine what the evidence shows.
