Michael Pirron

Founder & Co-CEO at Impact Makers

Michael Pirron is the Founder & Co-CEO of Impact Makers, a social enterprise that provides strategy, management, and technology consulting services to nonprofits and government agencies. Michael has over 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including stints as a turnaround executive, strategic transformation consultant, and healthcare executive.

Michael began their career in the public sector, working for the city of Richmond, Virginia as a management analyst. Michael then transitioned to the private sector, working for First Health Services Corp. (Coventry) as the Director of Product Development. In 2006, they joined Impact Makers (then Ingenix) as Lead on the Data Foundation project for NBH. Michael left Ingenix in 2007 to become Sr. Director at BroadReach Healthcare (BRHC).

In October 2006, they founded Impact Makers Inc., and served as its CEO until December 2018. During their tenure as CEO, the company grew from a small startup to a leading provider of social impact consulting services. In 2018, they transitioned to Mary Baldwin University, where they served as Social Entrepreneur in Residence to the “for benefit” MBA program. Michael returned to Impact Makers in 2019 as its CEO.

Michael Pirron received their MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in the field of Business Administration. Michael also holds a BS from the University of Virginia in Commerce (Business) and Management Information Systems (MIS).
