Ada Dortch has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ada began their career as an Advocate for human rights organizations from 1999 to 2005. In 2007, they joined the IPPF European Network as a Programme Advisor and Youth Focal Point, where they focused on fundraising, advocacy, and program development for sexual and reproductive health and rights across 40 countries. Ada then moved on to Impact NW, where they served as the Grants Director from 2013 to 2017. In this role, they successfully secured multi-million dollar grants and supervised the Grants Team. Ada also provided grant writing services to other organizations. Following this, Ada worked as a Grant Writer for Legacy Health in 2017, achieving the first-time grant award for youth transgender care within the hospital system. Since 2018, Ada has been with Impact NW again, first as a Development Director and currently as the Director of Development and Advocacy.
Ada Dortch earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Women's Studies from Willamette University in the years 1998 to 2002. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree in Soc. Sciences - Gender, Sexuality, and Society from the University of Amsterdam in the period of 2004 to 2005.
