Amy brings to ImpactAlpha deep journalistic experience as well as vital perspective on bottom-up, grassroots finance. She is the author of “Locavesting,” a pivotal book that identified the investment shift toward locally owned enterprises that can deliver enormous economic and social benefits. Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz called it ‘an inspiring look at what local businesses can achieve.’ She is also cofounder of investibule.co, an aggregation platform for crowdfunded investments. Amy was an editor at Business Week covering technology and a longtime contributor to The New York Times. She has also covered food, wine and travel – at least two of which she continues to enjoy during the pandemic.
