Robert A. Hauser

Robert A. Hauser, MD, MBA, is Director of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center of Excellence and Professor of Neurology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Hauser earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and his MBA at the University of South Florida. He was Chief Resident in Neurology at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia, and completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders at the University of South Florida.

Dr. Hauser previously served on the Executive Committee of the Parkinson Study Group and chaired the American Academy of Neurology Section on Interventional Neurology. Dr. Hauser’s research focuses on Parkinson’s Disease and clinical trial methodology. He is dedicated to the development of new medical and surgical therapies for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. Dr. Hauser has served as national principle investigator on multiple studies. His work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, including Lancet Neurology, JAMA Neurology, and Movement Disorders. He has participated in more than 200 clinical trials and has authored or co-authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications.
