Marc Rice

Marc Rice is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in developing innovative technology solutions. Currently serving as a Contract Senior Software Engineer at Impero Software since June 2021, Marc focuses on a backdrop application that enhances classroom management and online safety for school children. Prior to this, Marc contributed as a Senior Software Engineer at the Department for Education, creating a new e-learning platform for UK teachers. A track record of senior roles includes working as a Senior Developer at V-Ex, where Marc was involved in a 2.5D/3D virtual exhibitions platform, and as CTO/Tech Lead at JF Tobias, where Marc developed the first instant valuation tool for the fine wine industry. Additional experience includes leading development efforts at the Natural History Museum, software engineering at Google, and creating award-winning online advertising campaigns at Publicis•Poke.
