Neil Buchen

Neil Buchen is an accomplished software engineer and principal engineering consultant with extensive experience in software development, microservices, and embedded systems. Currently serving as a Software Engineer IV at PGi since September 2016, Neil specializes in backend microservices for audio/video meeting applications utilizing technologies like Java, Scala, Docker, and Kubernetes, while also supporting frontend applications. Neil leads Buchen Enterprises, Inc. as CEO and Principal Engineering Consultant, focusing on cloud applications and digital media convergence. Previous roles at Cox Communications and Cisco Systems involved designing software solutions for cable video delivery systems and providing technical guidance on advanced broadband technologies. Neil's career began at Hayes Microcomputer Products, where expertise in embedded software for communication protocols was developed. Neil holds a BSEET from Southern Polytechnic State University.
