KVS Rao is a Technical Fellow at Impinj, specializing in RFID tag antenna design and implementation for IoT applications using RAIN RFID standards. With extensive experience in RF and antenna engineering, KVS previously worked on satellite antenna design at Ka band, and has played a pivotal role in the research and development of various RFID products throughout their career. KVS is a joint inventor of 23 issued patents in the RFID field and has published approximately 60 technical articles, contributing actively to RFID standards at major organizations. KVS also mentors team members and has delivered invited talks and courses at IEEE and international symposia. They hold a Ph.D. and multiple degrees in engineering from prestigious institutions in India.
