Erwin Scherer is currently the Head of the Division of Civil Engineering at Implenia, overseeing projects in civil engineering, tunnelling, and large infrastructure across several countries including Austria, Germany, and France. Prior to this role, Erwin served as the Global Head of Tunnelling at IMPLENIA AG-REG from 2019 to 2024 and was the Business Unit Head at ZÜBLIN A/S from 2002 to 2019. Erwin earned a Master of Science in Subsurface Engineering from Montan University Leoben between 1988 and 1995. Additionally, they are a board member of the European International Contractors and ÖBV, and a member of the Implenia Executive Committee.
