Willow Beck

Willow Beck is an experienced professional in production, research, and management, currently serving as the Production Director at Important Not Important since March 2022, where responsibilities include publishing newsletters and managing community engagement. Previously, Beck contributed to Concordia University's Science Journalism project as a Research Assistant from September 2021 to September 2023, focusing on data collection and analysis for climate journalism. As Operations Manager and Grant Writer for Sea Smart School Society from October 2019 to April 2022, Beck oversaw grant management and environmental education workshops. Earlier roles involved hydroacoustic data processing at the Pacific Salmon Commission and various positions in office management and ecological monitoring. Willow holds a Master of Arts in Digital Innovation in Journalism from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of British Columbia.
