Babatunde Otaru

Babatunde Otaru has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering, with a particular focus on building scalable applications and implementing innovative technologies. Babatunde began their career as a Tech writer for Buzz Magazine in 2015 before transitioning to a role as a Software Engineer at Cotta & Cush Limited, where they provided support and developed new features for a logistics company. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer at Chatdesk, where they built a beta version of a product that shifted phone calls to text messages for customer service centers.

From 2017 to 2019, Babatunde worked as a Software Engineer at Konga Online Shopping Ltd, contributing to the development of micro-services and implementing a robust rule-engine system for business-logic intensive applications.

In 2018, they joined Cotta & Cush Limited again as a Software Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and building a promotion-management application used nationwide by SPAR, the largest chain of Hypermarket stores in Nigeria.

From 2019 to 2022, Babatunde worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Wunder Mobility, where they contributed to the development of software solutions. Currently, they hold the position of a Senior Software Engineer at Impossible Cloud, where they continue to leverage their skills and experience in software engineering.

In addition to their professional experience, Babatunde Otaru was also a Co-Founder and Software Engineer at Humane Inc. from 2012 to 2019, where they focused on simplifying mobile applications for the visually impaired through the development of a mobile app and the design and implementation of navigation algorithms.

Furthermore, Babatunde Otaru worked as a Software/Robotics Engineer at iLAB Research Group OAU from 2014 to 2017, participating in the World Robotic Olympiad in Qatar in 2015.

Babatunde Otaru completed their secondary education at Command Secondary School Ibadan, from 2003 to 2009. Babatunde obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate in the field of Science during this period. Following this, from 2011 to 2016, Babatunde attended Obafemi Awolowo University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
