Dr. Sven Thies has a diverse range of experience in data analytics and consulting roles. Dr. Sven started their career in 2013 as an intern at HypoVereinsbank - UniCredit Bank AG. In 2014, they worked as a research assistant and PhD student at the University of Bremen. Dr. Sven then joined Traum-Ferienwohnungen GmbH in 2017 as a Data Scientist, where they built machine learning applications, conducted statistical data analysis, developed a data team, and provided consulting on statistics-related questions. In 2020, they worked as a Data Scientist & AI Consultant at PTSGroup and as a Senior Consultant at Infomotion GmbH. Dr. Thies also has experience as a lecturer at FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie & Management. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Data Analytics Engineer at Impossible Cloud, starting in 2023.

From 2009 to 2012, they attended the University of Bremen where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Administration.
In 2011, they participated in an exchange program at the University of the Free State, focusing on Business Administration.
Continuing their education, they pursued a PhD at the University of Bremen from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Sven successfully completed their doctoral studies, earning the degree of Dr. rer. pol. (PhD), specializing in Applied Statistics.
