Improv Central is a community studio in Alameda, CA and a corporate workshop partner for teams and organizations nationwide.

We exist because the moments that define us — at work, at home, in community — are almost never the ones we prepared for. The hard conversation. The derailed meeting. The moment when the plan falls apart and someone has to lead anyway.

We built Improv Central to train the muscle that actually helps in those moments: presence, listening, adaptability, and the ability to make something real with the people next to you.

For individuals: live, in-person classes and community in Alameda, CA. No experience required. No performance expected.

For teams and organizations: half and full-day workshops at our studio or on-site at your location. Clients include Google, Adobe, MIT Media Lab, Chime, Intuit Credit Karma, The Nature Conservancy, and Climate Lead.
Founded by Claire Slattery — facilitator, executive coach, and 20-year applied improv practitioner.
