Nicolas Riche has a diverse work experience starting from 2009 to the present. Nicolas worked as an Electronics maintenance technician at Solution in 2009. Later, in 2011, they worked as a Software developer in the research team of INRIA Rennes, where they focused on model-driven engineering applied to building automation. In 2012, they worked as a Software engineer in Hager as part of a six-month R&D internship, participating in product definition and developing a prototype. From 2013 to 2019, Nicolas worked as an independent contractor, undertaking various projects as a full-stack developer in the Play framework/Scala/Akka stack. These projects included developing hiring challenges using HackerRank and building platforms for managing volunteering. In 2019, they joined YoppWorks as a Software Developer, working on elastically scalable and resiliently responsive systems using Scala, Akka, Play Framework, Kafka, and Spark. As of March 2022, YoppWorks merged with Improving, and Nicolas continues their role as a Software Developer within the team specialized in building scalable systems.

Nicolas Riche started their education in 2007 at IUT Rennes, where they pursued an associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Nicolas completed this degree in 2009. Following that, from 2009 to 2012, they attended the ESIR - Graduate School of Engineering, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Software Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Nicolas Riche has obtained several certifications. These include the "Certified Reactive Architect Exam v4" from Lightbend, Inc. in October 2020. More recently, in 2022, they acquired certifications such as "Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer" from Google in September, and "Lightbend Akka Streams for Scala Professional" and "Lightbend Akka for Java Professional" from Lightbend, Inc. in June and January, respectively.
