Rodrigo Lima has a diverse work experience in the software development industry. Rodrigo started their career at Lex Consult in 2010 as a Java Developer. Then, they worked at CESAR as a Junior Software Engineer, where they developed and maintained systems for GEMALTO. After that, they joined Couggi Tecnologia as a Software Developer.
In 2012, Rodrigo became a Senior Java Developer at Grupo Meta. Rodrigo then joined Amil in 2013 as a Software Developer, where they built scalable and modular software products using Java EE and later migrated them to Scala. Rodrigo also worked on integrating these products with internal systems using SOAP and REST protocols.
Rodrigo's next role was at Opticca Consulting Inc. as a Software Developer. Here, they built a Java application integrated with a third-party solution using WebMethods and SOAP protocol. In 2016, they joined Guavus as a Software Engineer, where they developed demo versions and Angular components for real-time big data analytics products.
In 2018, Rodrigo joined OMSignal as a Software Engineer. Rodrigo developed microservices using Scala and reactive programming and built a web app using Angular 7. Rodrigo also worked with event-based and reactive architectures.
Most recently, Rodrigo started working at YoppWorks in 2019 as a Senior Consultant. Here, they provided expertise and development work on reactive architectures using the Lightbend stack and other technologies like Akka, Lagom, and Kafka. Rodrigo also worked with clients in the retail and leisure industries.
In 2022, Rodrigo joined Improving as a Software Developer, where they currently hold a role.
Rodrigo Lima obtained a Bachelor's degree in information systems from UNIME between 2006 and 2010. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including the "ONAP 2022 Contributor" certification from The Linux Foundation in February 2022. Other certifications include "Lightbend Telemetry Installation - Level 1" from Lightbend, Inc. in April 2021 and various certifications from Lightbend, Inc. in 2020, such as "Lightbend Akka Cluster Fundamentals - Level 2," "Lightbend Akka Cluster Sharding (Scala) - Level 2," and "Lightbend Akka for Scala Professional - Level 2." Prior to that, they received the "Lightbend Reactive Architecture: Advanced" certification from IBM in April 2019 and the "Principles of Reactive Architecture" certification from IBM in January 2019. Additional certifications include "Parallel programming" from Coursera in August 2016, "Functional Program Design in Scala" from Coursera in July 2016, and "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in July 2016. Rodrigo also obtained the "Certified Reactive Architect Exam v4" certification from Lightbend, Inc. in October 2019 and the "Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform - SCJP 6" certification from Sun Microsystems.
