Cloud Application Architect at Improving

Sergei Stepantsov has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Sergei most recently worked as a Cloud Application Architect at Improving starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from October 2022 to January 2023.

Before their cloud architecture roles, Sergei worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Pason from March 2020 to October 2022 and at Agritask from May 2019 to March 2020. Sergei also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Intel Corporation from August 2018 to May 2019 and as a Software Development Engineer at nCrypt from June 2018 to August 2018.

Sergei has experience as a Principal Engineer at Huawei Technologies from January 2018 to March 2018, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Open Design Alliance from July 2016 to January 2018.

Prior to their roles in software engineering, Sergei worked at Samsung Electronics as an SW engineer from August 2010 to April 2016. During this time, they worked on the development of web engines for the Tizen platform and the Allshare platform.

Their early career includes a role as a Software Engineer at KamaGames Studio from February 2009 to August 2010. Overall, Sergei has a diverse background in software engineering, with a focus on cloud architecture and development.

Sergei Stepantsov obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from Far Eastern State Technical University. Sergei attended the university from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Sergei also obtained several certifications. These certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in February 2023, and several Coursera Course Certificates. The Coursera Course Certificates include "Using Python to Access Web Data," obtained in July 2016, "Python Data Structures," obtained in January 2016, "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)," obtained in November 2015, and "Using Databases with Python," obtained in November 2015.
